Call to Action: Cannabis is an essential treatment option for Massachusetts Veterans

Our message to Governor Baker and Massachusetts legislators is clear:

All adult-use Massachusetts cannabis dispensaries must be designated as essential services.

Veteran patients in need deserve full access to necessary medical treatment options.
Veterans Cannabis Project supports the Governor keeping medical dispensaries open to the public during this critical time. But our nation’s heroes deserve full access to the legal marijuana treatment options they rely on for medical care. Denying access for veterans, including those who are disabled and are regularly prohibited from obtaining medical marijuana cards, is unnecessarily prohibitive for vets who depend on cannabis to help cope with physical and psychological injuries sustained on the battlefield. Email your state lawmakers and ask them to support Massachusetts veterans.

Veterans Cannabis Project applauds Governor Baker and state leadership for keeping medical dispensaries open to the public during this critical time.

Maintaining public health and safety during this crisis is paramount and we all must do our part to keep our neighbors safe. However, cannabis is essential to the veteran communities that rely on it as a treatment option just like any other option for patients, and denying access could cause them to seek treatment from dangerous products on the illicit market.
